I have some helpful tricks on how to tell the difference between silver and stainless steel.
After reading this, you'll never go wrong:
- All of the precious metals have a specific stamp.
The stamp for authenticity of silver is S925 or only 925.
If I doesn't have stamps on it, then it's probably stainless steal.
However keep in mind that if the jewelry is old, the stamp could fade away by the time.
It will appear in a form of tiny number, engraved somewhere on the surface. - Tap it with a coin.
Silver will produce a high-pitched sound. - Stainless steel is more solid and isn’t fragile.
Silver is more flexible.
